Located in the district of Alappuzha, Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Temple is a hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna.

It is a typical Kerala style temple and it was built between the fifteenth and the seventeenth A.D by a Chempakasherri ruler called Sri Devanarayan.

This temple is very famous for ‘Ambalappuzha Palpayasam,’ a delicious milky porridge prepared using rice, milk and sugar. It is said Lord Krishna visits the temple every evening to taste the payasam.


Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple


Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple located near Harippad in Alappuzha district of Kerala is an old-age temple dedicated to the serpent god or the Nagaraja.

Mannarasala Nagaraja temple is a sacred site where many unique rituals and concepts are performed. The temple is situated in the forest amidst trees, in a cool and quite place which is typical of the snake temples in Kerala.

It is believed that Nagaraja, as the primary deity, is endowed with the form of Hari (Lord Vishnu) and the spirit of Lord Shiva.


Chettikulangara Bhagavathy Temple


Chettikulangara Bhagavathy Temple, located in Mavelikkara is one of the most famous temples in Kerala.

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy, and here, festival begins on the Bharani asterism in the Malayalam month of Kumbam. 



Mullakkal Rajeshwari Temple


Dedicated to the goddess Rajeshwari, Mullakkal Temple is a nice, large temple located in the heart of Alleppey. Mullakkal Temple is 500 years old and there are plenty of stories behind the origin of the temple.

Two major Hindu festivals are celebrated in this temple – Navratri and the Thaipooyakavadi. The last two days of Navratri is said to be the most important days of the festival.

Aruvakad Devi Temple


Located 8 kms  south from Alleppey town, Aruvakad Devi temple is at the eastern side of N.H at Punnapra. Here, the idol represents different forms of the 'Devi' as Saraswathi, Parvathi and Lakshmi in the morning , after Killing the demon Daruka. She is said to have washed her sword in the Temple pond behind the temple.



Kandiyoor Sree Mahadeva Temple


Kandiyoor Sree Mahadeva Temple is an ancient Shiva temple situated in Kandiyoor near Mavelikara, Kerala  on the banks of Achankovil River. It is one among the 108 great Shiva temples of ancient Kerala consecrated by Lord Parashurama himself.
